Review

Rating: 6

The story spins around Stacy Wyatt and especially the relation that swells up between him and his rescuer, Sean Burke, is a great background for this atmospheric classic. The setting on Sicily is gripping and full of deceit with sawed-off shotguns that give off the scent of gun powder. What truly makes this novel a classic Higgins is the rawness of it. The deceit, the torture, the pain and vengeance feel real and the plot spins and spins until the very last page. –copied from an anonymous reviewer in the Internet
