In Paris, a physicist dies after performing a laboratory experiment for a beautiful visitor. In the jungles of Malaysia, a mysterious buyer purchases deadly cavitation technology. In vancouver, a small research submarine is leased for use in the waters off New Guinea. George Morton, a mulit-millionaire philanthropist, instructs his lawyer, Peter Evans, to stop his 10 million dollar gift to finance the Vanatu suit.
This is a cleverly written novel that addresses the subject of global warming. There are lots of footnotes to cite scientific studies to support the opinions expressed by various characters of the book.
Evans, who believes that humans are causing global warming because “everyone knows it true,” jousts with other characters whose opinion differ from his. Is the current mania about global warming true or is it bunk?
