Looks like my host repaired the FTP issue. Now it seems like everything is slow. It took 33 seconds to load the write page. Does it seem slow to you?

Darn Host
My host for this blog is having difficulty with its server. I tried to upload a modification to the index file for the theme I was using, but the server wiped it out. Now the theme renders a blank page. So I switched back to an old standby until they get it fixed. (bb this is the entire post).
Updated Subscription Program
I recently upgraded Subscribe2, the plug-in that supports email subscribers to Major Mike’s Musings. With short posts, subscribers will get the entire text to the post. With long posts or ones in which I insert a “read more” break, subscribers will get a partial post and must visit this blog in order to read the whole thing. Thank you, subscribers.UPDATE: Evidently, the hack I had on this blog interfered with the sending of these email notifications. I’m working on it.
So Sorry
This site was hacked and hijacked by EmN. 😈 I have been away from monitoring Major Mike’s Musings for a few days so I don’t know how long the site’s been down. I had to go directly to the database to delete the hijacking entries.
Kickin’ Back
Thanks to some periodontal surgery I had today, I’m just kickin’ back, watching TV, reading, and playing on my computer. I’ve upgraded my local blog, which is my test site for this one. The WordPress latest version is 2.2.1, but I’m not having much luck with some of the sidebar widgets–those things that display the content in the sidebars–so I haven’t upgraded this blog, yet. I’m also playing around with new themes. None are exactly what I want, so I’ve had to do a little programming. Anyway, that’s how I’ve been killing time today since I’m not allowed to do any heavy lifting or sports for the next two days.
